Ligeti Dávid — Owner & Creative Director

background
Ligeti Dávid’s practice connects architecture, furniture design, and workshop-based production. Growing up within his father’s architectural studio — where design and making existed side by side — he developed an early understanding of materials, tools, and the culture of making.
Over time he took over the studio and its workshop, gradually shaping it into an independent practice. What once functioned as a hybrid architectural and craft environment has evolved into a studio where furniture design, architectural thinking, and hands-on production remain in close dialogue.
Today the studio produces unique furniture pieces in a nearly 800 m² workshop in Bernecebaráti. Working with a network of small and medium-sized workshops across Northern Hungary, the practice operates within a collaborative production ecosystem.
His work explores the relationship between structure, material logic, and atmosphere — creating furniture defined by restraint, material honesty, and a quiet, lasting presence.
